Take a day to visit our neighboring country French Guiana.
A former colony of France (and district of France in the present day) where the spoken language is French.
We will depart from sidewalkcafe ‘t Vat per car to the border town of Suriname, Albina, and pass over the Marowijne river.
We arrive on the French side in the border town of Saint Laurent.
Here you will have the opportunity to walk around the local market and shop in one of the larger supermarkets, Super U.
Super U has most French and European items.
We also visit the old prison where Papillon was imprisoned before being placed at the devils island.
Lunch and drinks are included.
If you wish to buy some souvenirs or local products it is wise to bring some euro.
Normally we do not stamp passports during this tour (we stay in the allowed zone in French Guiana, however if this is a special request, you can always contact us about it).
