The Surinamese dolphin called “Profosu” is a brackish water dolphin that travels between the coast, the Commewijne and the Suriname river.
With a special dolphin boat we go out looking for this dolphin with a pink belly, departing from Leonsberg where we board the boat.
Our guide will give information about the area and there are lot of birds to be spotted as well.
While enjoying a drink, we search the waters for the dolphins. Once they have been spotted, the spectacle begins.
Sometimes they jump far above the water and if you are lucky you can take some nice pictures.
After enjoying this, the boat sets for either the plantation Johanna and Margaretha or to plantation Rust en Werk.
We make a little tour on the plantation and enjoy a snack and a drink.
Satisfied and relaxed we go back in the boat towards Leonsberg and have some last lovely views on our way back in the boat.
