During this trip you will get a tour of plantation Katwijk, the only plantation that still produces coffee in Suriname.
After that we cross the Commewijne river for our next plantation visit:
The former sugar and coffee plantation Alliance that is active in the present days with citrus and banana planting.
Our guide will tell you all about the history of these plantations up till the present and also about Suriname’s colonial past in general
At the Katwijk plantation we see how the coffee is produced and processed. At Alliance we drive on the tractor around the plantation where the citrus is planted.
